I’m back from a little holiday break (more on that in another post) and getting caught up sharing peeks into this past summer & fall’s beautiful weddings!
Back in August, my fab second shooter, Danielle, and I took off for northern Iowa to photograph the gorgeous DIY, al fresco wedding of Yulia & Brian. The wedding took place at Brian’s parent’s amazing sustainable farm/horse ranch, Nature Haven, and was packed full of the prettiest DIY details – from the bride wearing a dress handmade by her mother, to the bridesmaids DIY-ing the flowers, to even the food itself (ps – it was amazing) coming straight from the farm itself (it doesn’t get more local & fresh than that!). Their wedding was a lovely, intimate affair – the family farm couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop for these two to say their vows surrounded by their friends & family. Check it out!
^ Can you believe the bride’s mother made the dress?! AMAZING. ^ The rings were rose gold and engraved with special sentiments in Russian. ^ A super-stylish, well-dressed bunch! ^ They. Are. Gorgeous. Am I right?!!!Danielle & I loved getting the chance to quickly visit with the horses on the ranch during the reception. (I mean…a wedding + a gorgeous, sweet couple + horses = PLEASE sign me up, I’m your photographer!) Special thanks to:
