I’m gonna take a real quick break from updating y’all with past photo sessions to share a few things I feel are so awesome they need to be recognized. Whether it’s one of my go-to beauty items to a simple recipe to sanity-saving tips, these are things I would be telling you about if we could sit down over a great cup of coffee and chat like besties. 😉 Oh, and I’m gonna throw in cute photos of my kid. Of all the awesome things in the world, she’s the most awesome. So…it fits.
1 // The fact that we’re only a few short months away from becoming a family of four and adding another awesome little girl to our family. I’m so excited for Aria to have a sister!
2 // This face moisturizer is amazing. I visited the Lancome counter a few months ago to grab a mascara, and the girl at the counter took one look at my combination (i.e., pregnancy is making me break out and have dry skin all at once, thanks a lot) skin and told me I needed this. Oh my goodness, I love her for that. This stuff is has been a literal miracle in a jar. Skin problems? Fixed.
3 // This recipe is crazy easy, fairly healthy (I sub in whole wheat pasta & load those veggies in there!), and even my two-year-old and husband like it (hey, they are tough critics). I’ve made it three times already this winter. Bonus: it makes for simple entertaining if you find yourself cooking for guests and in a pinch!
4 // Uggs are back, baby. I mean, if you ask me – they were never out (who says goodbye to something that comfy?!). But, in case you needed the fashion world’s official stamp of approval, you now have it, courtesy of Vogue.
5 // This jewelry line is locally made in the Chicago area by the sweetest fashionista mama, and it totally reminds me of things I would find at Free People, but at a WAY more affordable price point (score!).
6 // It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I am a huge fan of Lululemon. These leggings have taken me from summer workouts to pregnancy and postpartum once already, so you had better believe they’re now a staple in my closet. I don’t buy maternity leggings at all – these honestly cut it the whole way through and after. I just buy my normal size and roll up or down depending on what is most comfortable. Yes, they are pricey – but my oldest pair is now five years old and still going as strong as the day I bought them. I have all the varieties and while the cotton roll down are my favorite for pregnancy and overall versatility, the luon are my favorite for running and more intense workouts (or, ya know, working out at all….).
7 // If you have kids and live in the Chicago area (or are planning a visit) – this place is a MUST. We recently took Aria and we’re hooked. Midwest winters are long, cold, and boring (especially when you’re pregnant and can’t even head up to Wisconsin to ski…lame), so indoor activities are essential. We absolutely loved this museum – the water area was probably Aria’s favorite.
Have you discovered any things you’re just fining awesome lately? Let me know in the comments or share a link on Facebook – let’s share the awesome. 😉
