Where do I even start with this gorgeous wedding?! From the backdrop of downtown Chicago in the fall (one of the best times to visit Chitown, if you ask me) to the soft blush color palate with romantic details to the head-over-heels in love couple, this wedding was a dream come true to photograph. Add in that the bride and groom had included the most adorable bunch of children into their bridal party (y’all, I love kids like whoa!), and I was in photographer heaven.
With the help of planners from One Fine Day Events, the day began at The Congress Plaza Hotel for the girls. From there, the bridal party traveled by trolley to the majestic St. Ignatius for the ceremony, easily one of the most beautiful churches in Chicago, before we made our way across town hitting up a few photo spots (Olive Park for awesome skyline views and the historic Chicago Theater just for fun!) and ended at the reception venue of The Metropolitan Club at the Sears Willis Tower. Oh, and the reception? Ended with a musical performance by the groom himself – the best! Kaisa and Ian, thank you so much for giving me the honor of photographing your wedding day! It was a joy.
// Special thanks to Danielle Marie Photography for her assistance as second photographer! Couldn’t do it without ya, girl!
