My twenties are going by quickly. I changed career paths, earned a graduate degree, traveled a ton, and opened my own business. I was a single college student, and then I blinked and was a wife at 23, and a mom by 26 (27? Math is not my thing…whatever). Now in a few short weeks our second daughter will be born and we’ll move into another transition as a family of four. Lots of changes. Good ones, all of them, and I’m finally at that place where I can say I am pursuing my dreams and hopes for my life with all my heart and all of the (coffee-given) energy I can spare (no really, thank God for coffee).
In a few weeks, things will shift when we meet our second little one, and I’m full of joy for the new season but a little nostalgic about saying goodbye to the chapter of having Aria as my one-and-only. She’s a wild one, my firstborn, and she’s best little pal. For the time being, I’m trying to soak up the last few weeks with her as the only child and give her tons of attention (okay, she always got tons of attention, but still).
Change is coming. We’re rolling with it. We’re pretty blessed. And we’re totally stocking up on tons of coffee.
^ 34 weeks huge in an even more huge grubby flannel shirt. That’s how I roll sometimes, y’all. Thank you to the hubs for snapping these photos of my girls and I!
(He shot in manual on my camera and everything….well done to the hubby! Maybe I’ll hire him someday.)
