Hello, blog world. I’m so excited to officially introduce to all of you our newest addition, Abigail Reese, who was born on April 30, 2015, weighing in at 7 lb, 0 oz. We are just in love with her, and of course, I had to sneak into the studio when she was about 8 days old to take a few photos to document her newborn stage (of course, if you follow me on instagram, you’ve already been bombarded with #babyspam – but here are a few more taken with the “real” camera).
I originally tried to type up a beautiful post, thanking everyone for their kind wishes and respectful support of my maternity leave….but want to know the truth? Both my beautiful daughters literally time every single meltdown to the moment I open my computer (right now? they’re both crying – Abby because she’s my second colicky baby and Aria because she wants my undivided attention 24-7). So, I’m giving up right now and being easy on myself. Elequent blog posts will happen later. Today, I will prioritize what has to be done and call it good. I will be patient with myself and others (and my children). I will not be the best blogger because I have 2 very small children who need me….and that’s okay. So I’ll leave you with a few photos and my love. I’m excited to be back from leave and thrilled for the weddings I get the honor of documenting this summer. Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives through my camera….my words on the blog – well, those will come later. I have to go play Barbies with my 2 year old and calm my colicky baby for now. xoxo.
